Piraeus Enhances Digital Banking Experience with Enriched Transaction Data

Piraeus and Snowdrop partnership

Athens, Greece / London, United Kingdom – 10 April 2025.

Piraeus, one of Greece’s leading financial institutions, has taken a major step forward in digital banking innovation by introducing enriched transaction data for its customers. As the first issuer bank in the country to enable enhanced transaction insights, Piraeus is setting a new standard for transparency and customer experience in the financial sector.

Piraeus is providing its clients with clearer, more intuitive views of their Debit cards transactions. Customers will now benefit from enriched transaction details, via Piraeus e-banking and Piraeus app,  including merchant logos and business names, providing a more user-friendly and informative banking experience.

This innovation is powered by Snowdrop Solutions’ MRS API, a leading transaction enrichment solution that transforms raw financial data into clear, actionable insights. Future updates will integrate location-based insights and merchant contact information, further enhancing transparency and engagement for customers.
